ExamTHON 2026 Inspires Students Nationwide to Speak Up on Mental Wellness
Many students came to India on December 20, 2025, to participate in the ExamTHON reel
competition. The motto was a student-led initiative aimed at addressing exam stress, mental
wellness, and emotional resilience of the school students.
A college mentor organised the event, and students from classes 6 to 12 were encouraged to
participate through a short digital storytelling activity. Many participants highlighted the event
through reels, posters and essays about exam pressure, offering a message of empathy,
balance and self-care.
Platform for Honest Conversations
The competition prompted students to create Instagram-style reels on themes of mental health,
the role of food, nutrition, and sleep during exams and how to manage distractions in a noisy
world. Every reel reflected the students' personalities, personal perspectives, creative
expressions, and growing awareness of their emotional well-being. Throughout the reel, in 180
seconds, many students shared relatable stories that connect to conversations around mental
health, which are becoming more open and inclusive among students.
The event had a structured schedule: reporting began at 9:00 AM, and the competition started
at 9:30 AM for all categories. As the event was entirely online, students were allowed to
participate from any location in India.
As ExamTHON was not just a run, it is a social movement with a motto of promoting stress-free
exams, emotional strength and empathy in academic environments. The event aims to give
students a voice to normalise discussions about mental well-being and encourage healthier
learning approaches. The event registrations were powered by iFinish, ensuring a smooth,
accessible experience for student participation nationwide.
The event's success in ExamTHON shows the growing recognition of the importance of mental
health, well-being, and wellness in education. As ExamTHON 2026 continues, organisers hope
to expand participation and deepen the impact, helping students feel heard, supported, and
empowered during one of the most challenging phases of their academic journey.
